Ahmed Al Maghribi
Founded in 2000 by Kafeel Ahmed, who came to the UAE from Mumbai. It began with a small home factory and one shop. The company is now based in Ajman and runs many shops across the Gulf.

Ajmal
Started in 1951 by Haji Ajmal Ali in India, trading oud. The family moved its headquarters to Dubai in 1976 and opened its first shop there. Ajmal says it makes its perfume in its own factory in Dubai and also has a plant in Assam, India.

Anfasic Dokhoon
Sister brand of Hind Al Oud, started by Mohamed Hilal and co-founder Olimpia. The name means breathing incense. Its first kiosk opened at Mercato mall in Dubai, and it sells perfume, bakhoor and oud.

Hind Al Oud
Luxury oud house founded in Dubai in 2001 by Mohamed Hilal, a former Emirati airline pilot. The brand says it builds each scent around an emotion. It is the lead brand of the Mohamed Hilal Group, which also owns Anfasic Dokhoon and Khaltat.

Khaltat
Launched in 2012 by the Mohamed Hilal Group, the Emirati owner of Hind Al Oud. Khaltat means blends. The brand says its scents mix oriental notes with international styles, built around the theme of love.

Rasasi
Family business founded in 1979 by Abdul Razzak Kalsekar, who opened a small perfume shop in Murshid Bazar in Deira. It opened its first factory in the Jebel Ali Free Zone in 1986 and still makes perfume there, according to the free zone.

Swiss Arabian
Despite the name, this is an Emirati house. Hussein Adam Ali founded it in 1974, and it calls itself the first perfume manufacturer in the UAE. The name refers to its mix of Swiss technique and Arabian notes.
